Laura Walls
Laura teaches Earth Science and GATE Biology at McLane High School in Fresno, California.
She has been teaching for 8 years. Laura teaches mostly ninth grade students, but will be teaching some tenth graders in the MERA program. She is an awesome Science teacher!
Laura attended Baylor University for some of her undergraduate work. She earned her Education degree, with an emphasis in Earth & Life Sciences for AYA learners, at the University of Akron. She attended the University of Akron on an Honors scholarship.
Laura was born in Dallas, Texas. She has four children: Ryan, 21, Jason, 20, Kevin, 16 and Megan, 15. Her daughter Megan is currently in Germany with Fresno Sister Cities.
Laura enjoys gardening in her free time as well as collecting rocks. A lover of animals, Laura has a dog, cat, and several guinea pigs (raising the guinea pigs herself).
